Jackie Coleman is an Indiana-born trumpeter/electric bassist who is currently based in the NYC area. She has toured with various artists such as Antibalas, Bright Eyes, Calpulli Mexican Dance Company, Flor de Toloache (whom she won a Latin Grammy with), Joe Jackson, Lovejoy, Zola Jesus and can currently be seen on the road performing with “Durand Jones and the Indications” and “EMEFE.” She has also performed on the Off-Broadway shows After Midnight, ¡Americano!, The Gospel at Colonus” and has been a sub in The Harder They Come and the Broadway revival of Gypsy. Drawing from her wide-ranging musical experiences, her music consists of a mix of funk, soul, Afrobeat and jazz.
