Special Ops is a remarkable and compact version of the renowned 15-piece band, Chop & Quench, led by Tony award nominee and Television & Film familiar, Sahr Ngaujah. Comprising members from the cast and band of the highly acclaimed musical FELA!, each musician in Special Ops is among the finest in New York City, having collaborated with esteemed artists such as The Roots, India Arie, and Elvis Costello, to name a few.

Lead singer Sahr Ngaujah’s exceptional performance in the Broadway show earned him a TONY Award nomination and has also showcased his talents in various film and television productions. Together, as a cohesive unit, Special Ops has had the privilege of accompanying iconic performers like Beyonce, Femi Kuti, and Angelique Kidjo.
