DJIC curates and creates at the intersection of 140, drum and bass, UK garage, and hip hop. Their eclectic performances bring the weighty sub-bass and dub-meets-trap rhythms of 140 and grime, the energy and detailed sound design of drum and bass, and the rhythmic swing of UK garage, mashed up at one moment with a pop a capella and the next a political speech or found recording.

The output incorporates political subversion, culture jamming and media critique and is often paired with original video content that recontextualizes found footage, industrial films, and ephemera. The goal is to connect and reflect with the audience by putting elements from the past and the future at odds: DJIC nights offer an accessible space to dance and party while aiming to also provide a conversation-worthy sonic experience and critical cultural reflection.
